PARKS & GARDENS

Bournemouth proudly maintains 1000 hectares of glorious parks and gardens – that equates to 20% of the entire borough! At the heart of the resort is a 1.5-mile stretch of historic Green Flag, grade II listed gardens, which retain much of their Victorian character and charm. Split into three distinct sections, they start at the Lower Gardens, close to the sea, and lead through the Central Gardens onto the Upper Gardens which end in Poole. EXPLORING

Whilst enjoying everything Bournemouth has to offer, it is the perfect base for exploring further afield, including 185 millions years of history on Dorset’s 95 mile, Jurassic Coast which has UNESCO World Heritage status, or a short ferry trip to Brownsea Island with a wide variety of wildlife and cliff top views across Poole Harbour. If you are looking for something for the kids, Peppa Pig World is only a short drive from Bournemouth.

EVENTS

The Annual Bournemouth Air Show is a must-see event every year, however Bournemouth is truly an eventful destination with over 500 events taking place across the resort every year. The famous Art Deco Pavilion Theatre runs a packed programme of events including musical theatre straight from the West End, ballet, opera, pantomime and comedy.
